About

Named after the layer the model forgot

The OSI model stops at seven layers. Layer 8 is the informal name for the one that is always there anyway: the person. Every technical control you own eventually hands a decision to a human being, usually at the worst possible moment.

That is the layer we work on. Not with an annual video that everyone skips, but with scenarios teams remember months later, built on a framework that says precisely which behaviour each one is meant to produce.

What we believe

Three things that shape everything we build

Behaviour beats recall

A quiz score tells you someone remembered an answer this morning. We design for an observable action instead: what does this person do when a suspicious message arrives on a Friday afternoon?

Pressure is the teacher

Real attacks arrive when people are busy and rushed. Training should reproduce that feeling, which is exactly what a timed, team-based scenario does and a slide deck cannot.

Reporting is not the enemy

Most programmes accidentally punish reporting by making it slow and awkward. We treat passing it on as a core reflex, and make it the easiest step in every scenario.

Want to see it for yourself?

The fastest way to understand the approach is to watch a scenario run.
